Great topic Georgia! Being confident about money and the value of your work is one of those things I think a lot of women find hard! Even more so when starting a new business or creative project, monetising these things can be tricky, but if you’re not getting paid then it’s just a hobby, which doesn’t pay the bills! It’s good that the conversation about money seems to be more open now and that these things are being spoken about!
Yes Natalie, it’s true being more open to ask for financial rewards for your work brings value to both parties. And confidence to ask, courage to act and creativity to keep going! 🙂
I absolutely adore your title photo for this article! Every time I plant my kale and lettuce seeds when they first start sprouting their succulent shoots up through the rich dark earth it shows me spring is on the way and I have a wonderful healthy nutritious harvest to look forward to! And they save me money on chicken feed because any leaves that aren’t fit for human consumption go straight to my girls to be converted into free eggs. Maybe I’m not making money with my passion but I’m saving plenty!
Lovely analogy, I can just imagine those rich green leaves bursting out of the earth and being spread around many a table including the chickens! And of course without your passion nobody would be fed! 🙂
