How you do re-act to challenges? Does the thought of stepping outside of your comfort zone fill you with dread or drive? Is your first reaction to say, ‘No, this is not for me’. And then run and hide, or start admonishing yourself, or worse drinking from the cup of guilt? I do believe that many (if not all) of our fears to take action are around lack of confidence, courage and creativity. It is something I write and speak about often – on video, stage and page. It is something brimming over in my new book, The Rule Breakers Guide. I like to encourage another way to deal with these fears, to banish the irrational angst and dread. I like to show you how to Turn Your Fear Into Fire – And Other Opportunities.
-If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy – Dale Carnegie
Now let me start by saying that brave deeds and acts of courage come in all sizes and packages – not just policeman, fireman or spider man. I would never go cave diving but I would step up and speak out about issues that matter to me. Neither do I fancy formula one racing or sky diving. But I have other strengths and I make sure my courage is not defined by someone else.
I believe in turning fear on its head and metamorphosing into Fire, energy or call it Ambition. It is all about how you can Turn Your Fear Into Fire – And Other Opportunities
-Failure is a detour not a dead end street – Zig Ziglar
Three Things To Do To Turn Your Fear Into Fire.
Determination:
For me, this means harnessing the power of 4 special factors. Continue to be Consistent, Persistent, Insistent, Resistant and Insistent. In my book, I have a whole chapter on this topic. How you can tune into these supportive and positive characteristics.
Discipline:
If that word conjures up bad memories of disciplined situations – change the word. Call it work out, training, preparation or rehearsal.
Drive:
This is about energy and fire. The real urge to do something. To take action on your dreams, passions and desires in life. It is the petrol in your tank – the juice in your engine – the zing in your step!
-Ultimately we know deeply that the other side of every fear is a freedom – Marilyn Ferguson
This is one powerful aspect that I love to explore in my workshops. Bringing out the best in people. Encouraging them to show and share their passion, personality and performance. Release your inner rebel and do the things you want to do in your life. What I like to refer to as how to Turn Your Fear Into Fire – And Other Opportunities. Because when you are open to change and challenges opportunities do appear. You make them happen.
In October this year, I shall be hosting The Authentic Performance Workshop, a Retreat style experience to boost your writing, speaking and ever important performance skills.

Yes, fear is an experience, leads to knowledge and that arms us to defend ourselves.
Panic is ignorance and disarms and disables us. To turn fear of the unknown to a useful experience, is the art of life itself. Thank you for your encouragement to recognize this simple fact.
That’s right, fear can disarm us and cause panic! But how to turn it into fire is the thing! Thanks 🙂
